Forms Etc. - Zoning Permit
ZONING PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESS
All applicants must come to the Town of Chesapeake Beach prior to going to Calvert County and have the following paperwork with them:
Calvert County Zoning/Building Permit Application or Town Miscellaneous Zoning Permit Application
Copy of plat (on the copy make a drawing of project, drawn to scale.)
Blueprint or drawing of project with measurements of project.
The Town issues a “Zoning Permit”. Once you have been approved for zoning you may proceed to the County. Take all information to the County Services Plaza Building, (located 150 Main Street, across from Lusby Hardware). Inspections and Permits Division, 410-535-1600 x 2244.
The County will issue you a building permit and all inspections of the project will be handled through the County.
“TOWN PERMIT” – (Miscellaneous Permit) Projects without electrical, plumbing or grading work. This permit does not need County approval. Sheds, fences, above ground pools, handicap ramps, and tree removal. See Note**
**NOTE: Any Structure in the Critical Area requires a Building Permit. Outside of the Critical Area any structure over 150 square feet requires a Building Permit.For the Calvert County Residential Zoning/Building Permit Application, click here (leaving site).
